Powerchair to power assist

I’m planning to part exchange my current powerwheels for some e-motion or similar push assist wheels. Those of you that have done similar, how did you find the added strain?

I’m trying to avoid any further muscle loss or weight gain, but for a few reasons my current powerwheels just don’t work for me. The main reason being that I can’t use the chair without a front wheels and that takes up so much space.

Photo is of my set up which is a second hand Quickie helium that’s about 7 years old now (2 inches too wide and 3 inches too long in the seat) with the MTW trekking wheels (with joystick control), with an RGK frontwheel, and of course my wonderful Phantom.
