Old kids movie help

The movie was old like old cartoonie style to it. The beginning of the movie started with the narrator opening up a book and it flipped to a page where the movie started. The characters where animal. I don't know what kind but their where (small animals) one scene was in the water where their was a floating hut or house where the characters i belive was sneaking into i think. Then idk know after that. It was old like a Disney style movie.
