With More Snow Coming, PLEASE Clear Snow From the Roof of Your Car Before Driving!

I spent several hours waiting for a tow yesterday, while covered in glass. I have had to have glass flushed out of my eyes twice, thanks to a truck that had left ice on its roof before getting on the highway.

The bits still embedded in the white portions of my eyes will have to be picked out by my optometrist this week. I'm looking at this through a blur of antibiotic ointment and numbing agent.

Please don't make "joke" comments like "shouldn't have been tailgating." I was at least 50 feet behind the truck, and I changed lanes when I saw the ice start to lift off its roof. I was nowhere near it, but at 65 mph on the highway on a windy afternoon, the hunk that broke off and flipped into my lane got some major distance.

There are real people in the other cars around you on the road. This could have been deadly, not just really bleeping painful and outrageously annoying. Please just take the extra minute. A regular household broom or a foam "snow joe," or similar can push all the snow off in seconds.

Save someone other driver's from glass embedded in their eyes or worse.

Please.
