Does finding a co-op really get easier?
Hi! Computer science student here. I'm only asking because I'm in seq 3, and am interested in doing an exchange term. The school terms at my ideal host school don't line up with the terms here at Waterloo, and I really don't want to graduate any later. So I was considering dropping a coop term. Is this too much of a risky move?
I already got a coop secured for winter 2025, at a mid-size company in Toronto. Will this help my future work term searches? Do companies hire upper-years more readily than first/second years? Or does it depend more heavily on my initiative and the job market?
Any insight would be helpful. Thank you very much!!
