Africa (Tanzania) average trip cost and general info?

Hey everyone, I’m planning my honeymoon and we’re planning on going to Africa for the first time. I’m just trying to gain a general idea so I know what I should be researching more in-depth.

Is it safe to assume that Tanzania is one of the better countries to visit in Africa to get the general feel (safaris, nature, etc.)?

Me and my wife are interested in a combination of safari/nature and beach.

We’re thinking of -climbing Mt Kilimanjaro (we do climbing here at home) -Safari -Zanzibar (for beach?)

And are planning about 3 weeks for the trip.

I suppose my main questions are, are there companies that give better rates for doing combination bookings with them (Kilimanjaro + safari) and about how much this would cost for 2 people?

Also, are there any other recommended places to see in Africa, near this? We may cancel Kilimanjaro off the list as it takes about 7 days, which we may end up using for something else.

Also, Zanzibar for beaches and relaxation—overrated or highly worth it? We’re between this or going to the maldives (which seem to be much further away).

We’ll most likely be going in October, which I’m interested in knowing if it’s a good time as well.
