Need help with a girl

Ok so im 15 and really like this girl. I sit next to her in English but I want to talk to her, however im too scared to and tbh very dry and can’t hold conversations well even online. My friends are all telling me to follow her on insta. Do I do this? What do I do after? I’m afraid of the possible awkwardness that’ll come tomorrow with it.
