My school might go into lockdown

Okay so there’s a race war going on… like not even kidding, and there have been threats and shit on what’s gonna happen today.

The school is even worried as they’ve upped security and now require all late students to be escorted to their class by a hall monitor.

There’s rumors that there is gonna be shots fired, and my mom just doesn’t care, she didn’t even acknowledge that I said anything the first few times. Then she said “okay, and?” When I told her the rumors.

And while they are just rumors, it’s kind of worrisome to think that there might actually be something happening today. My mind tells me not to listen to the rumors, cuz they’re like never true, but my gut says stay away.

I’m saying “rumors” but in actuality it’s the people involved saying that they’re gonna do this stuff, so while yes it could be fake, there’s an increased chance that it’s not.

And for all of you thinking I’m over exaggerating the race war part, there was a huge fight with tons of people right infront of an office, and we went into lockdown over that.

With how easy it is for people to sneak in weapons… I’m actually frightened.

Should I try to convince my mom or should I just suck it up and go to school?

TL;DR: there could be a possible pew pew at my school, should I go still or stay home?

I’m alive and well, I ended up skipping school at a local library. There had been a lockdown at school, supposedly because someone got caught with a gun.

My school has taken precautionary measures, such as increasing the number of officers on sight, we usually have one. And they staggered the dismissal, but not in any effective way.
