Trans Surgery

Yesterday we were covering Plastic Surgeries. At the end of the chapter we got to genitourinary surgeries. It covered that sometimes people need surgeries on their genitals to help with congenital problems, but that it is also done for people looking for a gender change.

Im aware my book is very recently updated, and this is the first time my teacher is covering the subject. However, she openly expressed how uncomfortable she was to talk about it. I have Trans friends, and I don’t really feel strongly about what they do surgically.

Idk, do you feel a particular way about it? I’m just happy it’s finally getting acknowledged. She said it’s not something we’ll see very often, but we might see it more 20 years from now.

Is the procedure done at your hospital?
