Books about a circle of toxic people being horrible to each other

How do I describe it?… I want them all to be privileged in one way or another, and be more or less “equal” — so there isn’t a clear scapegoat that makes you feel bad for them. And have drama! Something gossipy and kind of a “clique”. Can be non-fiction about modern politics, for example, but mostly looking for fiction.

In terms of vibes, I’m thinking Kuzu no Honkai (manga), House of Cards US (TV show), and In My Dreams I Hold A Knife (fiction novel). Or just a niche internet hobby drama thing, where you realize there’s one person who’s sockpuppeting multiple accounts to slander the “enemy” fanfiction and praising their own, and another one is faking a minority status for clout, and they all are way too chronically online. That kind of stuff.
