Repot again or keep in non optimal soil?

So I bought a couple of succulents. I love succulents, I’m awful at keeping 90% of them alive. Finding this subreddit has been a good resource for hopefully keeping these three alive. However, I’m worried I’ve found it a little late. I have a soil question. Plant history with the three in question is really short. I’ve had them about a week, watered them once. Visibly they look exactly the same as at the plant store, which I believe is healthy. No weird colorations, wrinkles, soft squishiness, nothing.

The original soil kind of feels like a potting mix (It was damp when I repotted too.). I used miracle grow cactus soil (says great for succulents on the bag) to repot. After finding this subreddit I think this probably wasn’t a great idea. It could probably use some perlite, I know that stuff doesn’t drain super great, but it says good for succulents... I have 68 baby cacti that I’ve been growing in it so I’ve got some experience with the soil. I just did not know that it was better to add more perlite before I used it plain.

I also know repotting can cause root trauma though, so am I better repotting it as soon as some perlite comes in (I do have to order it online, nowhere nearby sells it.) or waiting a while and letting it be? My instinct is to let them be until they need to be repotted, since that’s the dirt I used for my one happy succulent plant, my undying aloes, and my cacti army. I just don’t water very often with any of those.

I also watered when repotting, because you’re supposed to with other plants and I assumed the same. Whoops. This is the only time I watered them, but the dirt was pretty wet. Their pots do have drainage holes, but I’m not sure that’s enough. (Other care info, I have a small grow light that’s on 12 hours a day to their left, and they’re in the sunniest room in my house. No direct sun, but it’s really bright in that room. They share a cage with a geranium, something I don’t know, and 15 small aloe plants. Those are all healthy.)

So now I’m very worried they’re going to have root issues from staying too wet. I repotted them yesterday, bought them last week. They look totally fine yet. I would really like to not let these die though, so what should I do?

TLDR I think I used soil to repot some succulents that I shouldn’t have. Is it better to repot twice very close together or leave it in the wrong soil and be extremely careful with watering for a while?
