Why do you people say you're not entitled to friendship/attention but keep complaining about female/male loneliness epidemic

Just wanted to understand this weird contradiction or cognitive dissonance. People simultaneously complain about loneliness but are the first ones to remind someone, they're not entitled to friendship or attention from anyone.

Edit: A lot of mental gymnastics in the comments, I've never read such stupid comments before. You can't help with the loneliness epidemic, while simultaneously chastising people for wanting friends. People always use "you're not entitled" as a way to attack someone, under the guise of "I'm just keepin it real" and "tough love"
