Is my soft snowboard holding me back?
Hey everyone,so long story short I managed to self learn a lot of things during my first season, but one thing that has been frustrating is carving.
I watched plenty of videos and read all the Reddit comments, but I seems like I can’t hold or sometime enter a carve by using proper form. The only thing that works for me is violently throwing my all body all the way to one or the other edge and hoping it holds…which you can imagine leads to very inconsistent results.
Now the reason why it matters is because setting up my tricks,180s,360’s etc and ollies would be a lot easier when carving as I tend to lose balance and stability during flat/regular edges wind ups.
Now I’m still on my first board which was sold to me by my local shop when I mentioned being a beginner and here it is .
Is that soft, rocker-flat board making carving and jumping harder?
And if yes would the Salomon Assassin be a good replacement for someone looking to ride predominantly All-Mountain/Freestyle/Switch?
