How to get used to being alone again?
Got broken up after a 2 year relationship like a month ago. I tried to fill the void by rebounding with other people but it just feels wrong and made me feel worse. After being with someone for so long, not having that connection or just having someone you can chat with no matter what about anything is so soul crushing. I feel lost. I need to get used to being alone again. I realize what I need to do but I'm not sure how to do it. I'm definitely not over them yet. What steps can you take to focus on yourself and like, just become independent again without needing validation or attention from others?
It was a civil break-up. It just wasn't going to workout anymore. We had two different paths in life but recognized that we couldn't be friends anymore if we truly wanted to split ways.
