Do you feel like you're contributing to a broken system?
I think a major source of cognitive dissonance in this field for me is how much I dislike the blatant inequality in American Healthcare. Egregious costs, lack of access, and a business mentality all made worse for people of color. I'm not so young as to think that becoming a doctor will give me the tools to singlehandedly change the entire system in any way that matters. Idk I just wanted to know if other people feel the same, and if so how do you cope with it?
