Question: Controller Player to M&K?

So, I've played on console for most of my life becoming very used to controllers. I've always been good at playing competitively which I've done with controller on Apex Legends, GTA, etc. and I came to the realization that I feel controller is kinda getting boring. I feel like I have more potential playing on Mouse and Keyboard in expanding my movement and skills. So now, I've been using mouse and key for a couple days now playing non-stop aim training on AimLab and Apex Legends.

If anything, I've achieved like moderate improvement. I feel like even after all this aim training, I've been becoming worn out so fast. I've been having the worst time in Online matches getting railed in I'd say EASY fights. My mouse accuracy in Apex is like 42% Max compared to the 51% I get on controller daily. I found out somewhete that it takes 4-6 weeks for casual gamers and 6-8 months to finally become competetive with mouse?!?? For you other controller players, how the heck did you guys manage to transition to Mouse and Keyboard? For me it's so difficult to get used to and I know it's been only a couple days but still... I don't have 6-8 months or even weeks to master this. I hardly ever even have time to play games let alone aim training on a mouse for that 6 months? Heck no.

Anywho, How does anyone have the time and dedication to become even remotely good on Mouse? Am I missing something?

Edit: Gonna keep up the grind using Mouse and Keyboard and learn the basics on other games before I jump into competetive games for now. I appreciate the help everyone!
