Hospital recruiters are making this job search difficult

I applied at two hospitals for jobs with two different recruiters. I’ve interacted with many hospital recruiters at this point.

First scenario: The first recruiter with ascension said after the interview I should here from her in 24-48 hours. I didn’t so I followed up with an email after two days. No response for 24 hours so I left a voicemail. I applied for another position at a different hospital in the area and got an email saying to request an interview with said recruiter so I decide to call her and her response was snappy. She acted like she never said I hear from her in two days.

Second scenario: supposed to be good hospital in second city. The first recruiter screened me one month ago but I was looking for labor and delivery but don’t have experience. So I put in other jobs including PACU and float pool prn when I couldn’t find a job in labor and delivery late July. I opened myself up to considering other options. I’m an ICU nurse trying to change specialties. I set up a second virtual interview because it asked on the site on 7/22 for august 8th. I asked the first recruiter in an email about float pool and she never got back to me since July 25th. Hadn’t gotten a response by then so then I attend a virtual hiring event on august 2nd which I reached out to another recruiter about float pool. After meeting she said she would send me an email about float pool. She hasn’t sent the email in a week. I attend the interview today and she had this attitude. I believe the same recruiter on the virtual event, I get this response. “You don’t need another screening interview because we only do them every two months.” “You have a recruiter and when I asked about float pool she said to check my application online and that my other application for PACU is under review.”

I don’t feel like I’m being pushy but these recruiters are making this hiring process hard. I wanted something I could work as needed until I find a full time job but in a nursing shortage, should I really have to do this? Am I reaching out too much and what is reaching out too much? I want to interview for ascension but I don’t want to go through that recruiter again. What can I do?
