Fairfax Costco Gas etiquette

Scenario: This past Sunday I was in queue at the Fairfax Costco at 650 am along with 5 other drivers at the stop sign just across from the pumps. An older gentleman in a black Lexus suv pulls up and parks just in front of the cones and waits. Other vehicles exiting from ox road then proceed to get in queue behind the older gentleman. Another vehicle to our left pulls up the service road and parks right in front of us and waits. At this moment I am now thinking about exiting my vehicle and having a “chat” with both drivers to move to the back of the queue. Just as I am about to grab the door handle, the attendant removes the cones and it looks like the start of the Indy 500. Older gentleman goes into the pumps first. The other cars in queue start blaring their horns and the douchebag who parked right in front of us reversed. Should people have better etiquette if they see the cars already waiting and get in line or will they just be a-holes and remain where they are because they think they are more important? Or are they that blatantly stupid or selfish? Or all of the above?
