Boys names that lean whimsical/gentle but maintain some masculinity?

I’m due in August, and we’re not finding out the sex until birth. We’re trying to get a list of names for both boys and girls to see what fits the best. Girls names are easy for us— we like whimsical, sweet, gentle, “fairy” or nature inspired names. Boys names are a lot harder for us.

Girls names we like for examples: Birdie, Goldie, Colette, Willa, Annie, Fable, Faye, Wren, Lark, Day. We also love Freya and Maeve but they are too popular for us right now. Boys names we like but don’t know if we’re sold on: Eden (the only name we both really like for a boy), Arthur (we prefer Art but our last name starts with T, so we would do Arthur and nn Art), Coen, Lowell (a little too much of a mouthful for me I think).

We also like biblical/literature inspired names. I don’t like formal or overly traditional/conservative sounding names. I love nickname-able names and am a sucker for something with multiple cute nicknames for a baby/young kid.

Our last name is a one syllable semi-common name, and we’re still open on middle names, although we’ll likely use a family name that’s more common/traditional whether boy or girl.

Anyway! We’re feeling pretty stuck on boys names. We like unique but nothing too extreme. Hellllllppppp!

Edit: Wow, thanks everyone for all the thoughtful suggestions! We definitely have some names to go through and this helps tons. August is by far the frontrunner/most popular vote here; it was mentioned every few comments! Probably a bit too popular for us but it is a beautiful name. Appreciate you all!
