I’m kinda hooked on Speed Champions.
After having legos as a kid, and building tons of them with my own kids, I got back into them last year. I started with the Porsche 911 creator kit, which was fun to put together. Whenever I would stop at a store, I would check the Lego aisle and picked up a small kit here and there.
I’m partial to the car models, so ended up with a small collection of Speed Champions in my closet. The last couple of weeks, I finally had a chance to pull a few out and put them together.
Honestly, I didn’t expect a whole lot, but was really surprised by how satisfying they are to build. Some interesting techniques and use of bricks. And the finished models are just these little joys to look at.
I have a couple more to build and then might try to tackle the Technic Land Rover I’ve had for a while. I had to disassemble it due to drivetrain binding and haven’t wanted to tackle it again just yet.
Until then, I can see my collection of these growing.
