70 days (benefits/thoughts/insight)

Wow, we made it to my first goal of 70 days. Honestly, I've tried quitting a few times over the past few years. Have gone 30 days a few times, 60 days a few times, and even 120 days, which was my best streak. Every time I broke, I realized it was a mistake instantly and had benders that lasted up to a year. This time, it feels different, I've been through enough relapses and truly know that I want to be sober for the rest of my life. Enough yapping, here are my top 10 benefits for all you people just starting out:

  1. Mental Clarity (it's amazing how much better you feel with a clean mind)

  2. Balanced emotions(no longer feel really sad or get super angry-i can control my emotions and have a better overall steady mood.

  3. Enjoy small things more (walking/reading/exercising/even just cuddling up in my covers on a cold day just feels 10 x better)

  4. Diet is better (feel healthier)

  5. Sleep is so much better

  6. More focus (get more done every day)

  7. No more feelings of guilt (which makes me perceive myself as a good person in my head, which makes me happier)

  8. Everything is easier (when smoking life gets harder/tasks/work/everything)

  9. My relationships are better with my loved ones

  10. I stand up for myself more

Keep going yall 💪🏾 👏 this time, we sober for life, God willing
