Relearning math as a 26 year old college student. Algebra word problems like this have been the biggest roadblock/stressor. Please help

Word problems like this have confused and stressed me out beyond belief:

  1. Ashley recently opened a store that uses only natural ingredients. She wants to advertise her products by distributing bags of samples in her neighborhood. It takes one person 2/3 of a minute to prepare one bag. How many hours will it take Ashley and 4 of her friends to prepare 1575 bags of samples?

  2. Julian is using a biking app that compares his position to a simulated biker traveling Julian's target speed. When Julian is behind the simulated biker, he has a negative position. Julian sets the simulated biker to a speed of 20 km/h. After he rides his pike for 15 minutes, Julian's app reports a position of -2 1/4 km (negative two and one-fourth kilometers). What has Julian's average speed been so far?

  3. There are 20% more goblins than wizards in magic club. There are 120 goblins in magic club. How many wizards are in the magic club?

*These are all from Khan Academy, and up until this particular unit, I have been breezing through, with barely any problems understanding. However, this unit from the pre-algebra course (Unit 8: Percent & rational number word problems) has stunted me for like 2-3 weeks.

**I understand that with these problems, you basically need to create a formula first. For example, for questions where I had to calculate tax, it was fairly easy and straightforward. The formula is just (original price) + (original price x tax rate) = total price. Unfortunately, if it's not a financial question, I get extremely confused and stressed.

***Because of this confusion, I have a hard time even starting, like I legit don't know what to do. I know there is a dependent variable and an independent variable, but for a lot of these problems, I don't even know where to start. I am not looking for answers, as this is from Khan Academy, but I just need assistance in figuring out these word problems.

Any help would be amazing
