Screen hinge cracking/popping sound

I own an HP laptop 17-by4002nl. Some days ago, the right screen hinge started making this popping/cracking sound when I open it. Is there anything I could do? If I take it to a repair service is it fixable? I'm sure it's not gonna fall apart but I'm in the middle of studying for an exam and I can't study without the laptop.
