Not getting job!!!

I have 1 year of experience into devops but now due to some circumstances I lost my job and after apply to various companies I rarely heard them back It’s very disappointing that you are not allowed to be in an interview to showcase your knowledge because of less experience. Does experience play this much important role? Can someone plz guide me and mentor me?
