On Misogyny: Yes this topic again since most people think it begins and ends with gg idols

Just came across a very well written post on how misogyny also extends to women who stan bgs. The post was very comprehensive (I will link it below).

I had been thinking of writing something similar for some time because everytime I kept seeing a discussion on misogyny within kpop, the female fans were always left out even if they themselves are victims of misogyny too.

Cue in these responses to the very well written post:

Time has always told that teenage girls are craziest when they have a male figure to obsess with and a female they hate that they can bring down. There's a reason why nobody will ever take or respect teenage girls, that will never change 🤣< (Are women involved in hating female idols? Yes. Do they have a monopoly on this? Absolutely not. Anyone who's been in kpop spaces will tell you that a lot of violent misogyny (rape, death threats etc) is often propagated by male fans who have huge followings. I mean there was literally a man threatening to harm a lesserafim member a couple of days ago. Also gg fans themselves constantly hate on other female idols. Are we seriously forgetting once/blinks or the lesserafim, Illit and itzy hate trains?)

This sub being filled with rabid teenage girls who stan bts and skz with grammar of a 12 year old will never make me respect BG stans lmao< (I'm sorry but nothing will ever make me hate female children. Teenage girls are also smart and are allowed to like things without being labeled as fanatics.)

This is literally what someone replied with to a post asking people not to be misogynistic towards female fans. I'm in shock like I can't believe someone can still hold these kinds of views in 2025.

This isn't the first time. In this sub there are those who reply to female fans with stuff like "oh go cry to your oppas etc". And what's surprising is they're upvoted with no pushback. If what that commenter is true that kpop is filled with teenage girls, why are we showing them that it's okay to expect and accept misogyny?
