seventeen touring with less than 13 members

disclaimer: I don't want this to come across as an anti us carats post, it's not meant to be like that at all.

If you're active in the community, you probably know that yesterday Pledis shared that Jeonghan and Jun won't be participating in a lot of activities in the second part of the year, and among these activities is Seventeen's recently announced world tour.

We're all sad and disappointed. I also thought that I'll finally get the chance to see ot13 perform in Europe at Lolla but I guess not. I think that in carat spaces emotions are often policed in a way that pushes toxic positivity and we're allowed to be sad for more than 5 minutes after something happens while also unconditionally supporting the members, but that's a conversation for a different time.

Since ticketing for the US leg of the tour starts this week, I've seen a lot of people saying that they are considering not going because they don't think it will be worth it when the tour won't be ot13. So my question is for people like that, why do you think it might not be worth it for you, where does the all or nothing mentality come from? I guess if you are a casual Seventeen fan and Junhui or Jeonghan are your biases, but for carats, specifically, what makes it not worth it to you.

Sidenote, I don't even remember when the last ot13 tour was. Follow wasn't until the last few stops, Be the Sun wasn't because of covid, Ode to You wasn't because of Cheol's hiatus. I do recognize that all of these reasons were out of their control, while currently it seems just like bad planning on Pledis' part.
