Rode the NX500 finally! My opinion has changed

Even though the power figures are very close to other A2 advs this certainly feels better. While the twin in this sounds like a single, it's very tractable, refined and virtually heatless. Feels faster getting to 80 than the ktms. The ergonomics are fantastic and the windshield greatly reduces windblast. The Twin discs up front also make sure this thing stops at a dime. Only 2 negatives: the screen feels extremely basic like the husky 401 screen and the horn button placement is atrocious.

The elephant in the room when it comes to this bike is the price. At 7.6L on road, you can get 2x himalayan 450 or ktm adventure 390s and still have some money left over. So is it absolutely not worth it? I don't think so. I think it's rather perfect if you're going to be two up touring as it certainly felt faster than other 45-47hp bikes upto 100kmh. If you feel like you won't be needing anything more than 50 hp i think this is the bike for you.

For the price you pay you certainly do get a much more premium motorcycle compared to anything else in the class - not just in touch and feel but equipment wise too. The only thing that'll come close to feeling like this will be the Tuareg 457, but no one knows when that will come out. Overall it's a pretty damn good bike, changed my opinion and made me understand who would go for this even with the huge premium. If anyone from Honda is reading this please make this a CKD!
