What is going on with Ebenezer Bakery on east Washington st?

I work very near this business that’s been “coming soon” for, I kid you not, almost 2 whole years. The guys in charge seem to pop in and out for 20 minutes a few times a week, but it doesn’t seem like anything is actually happening. My coworkers and I have tried to start up a conversation but they seem a bit standoffish, or maybe they don’t speak English well. Recently someone tried to break in and their door is shattered to bits, they’ve not addressed that AT ALL. It looks like if you tapped the door it would immediately explode. Anyways, we’re absolutely baffled by it and I’ve never seen a small business pay rent for 2 years without being open for profit.
