When do you guys usually move your plants outside (if you do)?

I live in eastern NC, so my tropical plants can't stay out all year, but once the weather/humidity gets nice enough in the summer I like to put them out in our sunroom because they flourish in the heat. I've recently got a bit more into the houseplant hobby and have some expensive plants that I'm a little scared of killing, so I'm trying to gauge if it's time yet or not lol
