FG VM HA VMware

Greetings community,

I need to work in a deployment of an HA pair of FG in ESXi. (different physical hosts)

I was looking at the documentation and I believe I will go with the unicast option for the heartbeat interfaces.

However, I still have a couple of concerns:

• Any further implication of using unicast?

• Do we need to have dedicated interfaces between the esxi hosts for the heartbeat interface(s)?

  Cause the way I see it, the data interfaces will part of subinterfaces (vlans) attached to switches in esxi.

So I don't have clear if for the heartbeat interfaces we can also use a sub interface (unicast) or if we need an actual physical dedicated interfaces for that in each esxi host.

If anyone can provide some intel on this, I will appreciate it, Thanks in advance!
