2025 Feature Request

I’ve been a loyal Fitbod user for more than two years, and I really appreciate how the app helps me stay on track with my fitness goals. That said, I’d like to share a few suggestions that I think could improve the app experience:

1. Order of Exercises

Sometimes, I need to adjust the order of exercises during a workout because equipment might be occupied. When I do this, it would be helpful if the suggested reps and weights adjusted automatically. For example, if a barbell bench press is planned as my first exercise but I have to move it to the second due to equipment availability, my strength may be affected after completing another chest exercise first.

2. Timer Between Exercises

Adding a timer between different exercises would be great to help track rest periods. This way, I’d know exactly how long to rest after finishing one exercise before starting the next.

3. Full Exercise History

Currently, the exercise history (such as estimated strength, weight, volume, and reps) only shows the past 12 months. It would be much more useful if users could view their entire exercise history since starting with Fitbod.

4. Starting Resistance for Plate-Loaded Machines

Some common equipment, such as the Hammer Strength hack squat machine, has a starting resistance (e.g., 57 kg for this machine). However, Fitbod sometimes suggests warm-up sets that fall below this starting resistance, such as 40 kg, which isn’t possible. It would be great to have a feature allowing users to input the starting resistance for each plate-loaded machine to ensure the suggested weights are always practical.

5. Exercise Instructions

Some exercise instructions are not correct. For example, in the "Seated Machine Calf Press”, the name and demo video suggest it’s a calf press, but the written instructions describe a calf raise using a calf raise machine. This mismatch can be confusing.

6. Duplicate Exercises

There are some duplicate exercises in the library, like "Machine Bicep Curl" and "Machine Preacher Curl." While I understand that some exercises might have different names, both exercises can appear in suggested workouts, which makes it harder to track progress and do the overload progression effectively.

7. Missing Common Exercises

Some common exercises, like the machine hip thrust, have been missing for years. I’ve seen this raised on Reddit multiple times, but it’s still not available in the app.

I’m looking forward to seeing how Fitbod continues to evolve.
