How badly does analysis paralysis affect you?

Whenever I begin a new world- before I decentralize with trains- I always have the tendency to pontificate for a ridiculous amount of time on the best way to cram together my assemblers, miners, forges, labs, etc. It ends up taking more time than the actual building process.
