Photos I have taken lose their editing when uploaded to Facebook. Any help?

Hi there - for some reason when uploading pictures from my Samsung to Facebook, the picture reverts back to its original state and drops all of the edits I've made to it with the gallery editor. Can anybody explain why this is happening?
