How do the elders view NP Gays?

Just curious how elders view non practicing gays in their congregations? Are they allowed to have privileges as long as they don’t act on their urges?

Anyone had experience of how they would be treated socially? Like would an elder go out socially with a NP gay brother?

Asking because my PIMI cousin confided to me that he thinks he is gay. I’m tempted to tell him to keep it to himself because he’s a real nice guy and doesn’t want to leave the JW religion. What advice should l give him? I didn’t see this one coming!
