Setting sound post
Heya, yesterday I had the dums and started changing my strings while standing upright with best instead of lying it flat on its back line I usually do. Anyway, sound post fell down. I managed to get it up-right again with some Mcgyver style tools in what I think is an OK position, the sound of the instrument is OK to my ears.
I have a very basic understanding of setting a soundpost and tried to getting it to what I researched as a good "starting point". However while in the middle of the procedure a question arose, do you set it with the strings on with slight tension or completely loosey goosey? I've added some pictures of the finished procedure and a blue dot showing approximately where the post is.
TL:DR: strings completely loose or slight tension when setting a sound post?
