Friendly reminder, don’t let people string you along

TLDR as much as I can. I (30F) met Dan (29M) through mutuals about 3 months ago. During October to December we texted on and off and hungout three times during that period. They were very informal/casual settings either with friends or at a friends house, so not a “date”. Regardless, we always had this unexplainable connection and lots of affection towards each other (holding hands, hand on the leg, etc.). But, he never tried to plan any dates or make an effort to hang more, despite my many attempts, so I stopped texting/replying to him. January comes and he texts me first, we exchange messages, I ask if he wants to meet up, he says he does but dances around the question as to when/where because he is busy. Whatever, time to move on, I don’t text him. Here’s the plot twist, the following weekend he texts me at like 1 am basically saying he thinks he have a “good connection and he kind of likes me, he’s had a great time everytime we have hungout”. I tell him to put his money where his mouth is a plan a date for us. He says he really wants to but he’s just soooo busy. Well that was a week ago and today’s Valentine’s Day and although he’s tried to keep texting and keep the convo going all week, there’s still no date. Time to move on, don’t let people string you along.
