One Year of Daily Cycling
A year ago I had enough of sitting in traffic and being an unfit couch potato so I bought a cheap old (1994) steel road bike and started riding daily.
Cycling has completely changed my life and I've somehow managed to average almost 300 km a week for the last year. At the start I couldn't ride up a 50 meter hill without having to walk and just last week I climbed the steepest streets in my city at almost 7W/kg.
Next week I will be doing an over 800 km ride (on ancient touring bikes) with my wife, I never would have thought this would be possible in the past.
One day I would love to buy a nice new Panasonic POS steel or titanium bike, but my trusty steel bike still has a lot of life left in it now that I have updated it with R7000.
How has cycling changed your life?
