Huge Opportunity: I've been asked to be the "director" of what cigars a small shop carries...
I've been an avid cigar smoker for 6-7 years and from what other foodies and cigar experts have told me, I have a very refined and sensitive palette. When I describe a new cigar, they confirm that I can discern the different flavors, tastes, smells, etc.
A dear friend of mine lost her husband recently. The two of them started a small cigar lounge in Antigua Guatemala (Antigua Cigars) and he was the cigar expert. She has asked me to help curate the next batch of product. We're headed to Intertabac in Europe in September and I've been tasked to help her select.
I'm totally stoked about this opportunity.
My entire smoking career has been around finding what I like, but now I have to open my horizons to what the public wants. I need to think about having a good selection and balance.
Any tips on moving from a "selfish" smoker to a "for everyone" smoker?
