Some questions about Making Manson documentary theory

Hello guys, I’ve just watched the Making Manson documentary that launched a new theory about the story. I ended up with some questions (not judging, just honest questions I didn’t understand), I hope any of you can help me with.

1-Charles spoke to Tex before the Tate & friends crimes, didn’t he tell him to do the killings? Was it Tex Watson decission? What did Manson expect them to do? What did he speak with the girls involved?

2-If so (1), what did Watson do it for? What did he expect to get from that? How did he expect that would make Beausoleil get out from jail?

3-If so (1), when did Manson know about it? Did he know before the LaBianca killings?

4-Did Manson know what happened in night 1 when they went to LaBianca’s house? What did he think they went there for?
