Struggling to decide

So a few weeks ago I got my decision from UC Berkeley and to my shock, I got in. What I did not realize at the time was that my admissions had been deferred to the Spring 2025 semester. I've really wanted to go to Berkeley since I started attending my community college almost 2 years ago but I really never thought I would get in with my GPA being not-as-high as other applicants that I'd see on places like here, TikTok, etc. Especially for my major (Political Science) the statistics for applicants looked extremely selective, even for CC transfer students. I've done a ton of research and I really would LOVE to go to UCB, but the big drawback is that deferment. Without getting too much into it, my home life isn't that great as I have to work for my parents who are borderline toxic, and every time they piss me off I immediately ask myself "Am I willing to sit through this for another 8 months?" And in the long term, I think it could be worth it, especially with the plans I have after undergrad (I'd like to either pursue a J.D. or Ph.D.), but in the short term it would be extremely challenging. I've also been accepted into a few other schools and have narrowed it down to Cal + UC Davis and UC Santa Cruz. I know that both of those schools are really good for Political Science, and I've made an entire slideshow with the pros and cons for each schools, but I wanted to get the advice of people on here since a lot of what I'm getting from family is "idk it's your decision". Sorry for the long post, but I've really agonized over this for the past few weeks. I am visiting UC Davis this Saturday and UC Santa Cruz later this month, so after I visit both I'll narrow it down to one of those vs. Cal.
