🚨🔥 Giveaway for Mental Health Awareness #2 🔥🚨

This is the second installment of my new giveaway series to help raise awareness for mental health. Many thanks to everyone in this community who reached out to express their support, it truly means a lot.

In all walks of life, including competitive sports, mental health deserves much more attention. Please know there are many different resources available to help cater to imdividual needs. These resources may be local in your community or may be national, and all are deserving of recognition. In my last post, I highlighted the national suicide & crisis lifeline - 1-800-273-TALK(8255).

In this post I'd like to highlight the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI; https://www.nami.org/). As their website desribes, they are a "grassroots mental health organization" that has "blossomed into the nation's leading voice on mental health," and they have more than 650 NAMI State Organizations and Affiliates around the country, so there may be a resource local to you.

It's perfect timing, too, as NAMI is currently aiming to raise $200,000 by Feb 28th to launch an advocacy campaign in honor of Men's Mental Health Awareness Month in June. As a man, there's absolutely no shame, stigma, or weakness in talking about mental health and seeking out help if needed.

If interested in this card, I'm asking to please donate at least $15 to any mental health organization of your choice. It could be NAMI, the lifeline, or any other local or national organization you might choose to support. First person to send me proof of donation (you can dm) will get the card, but any and all donations will be greatly appreciated!

For the record, I am not a licensed mental health worker, but this is a cause that has a lot of personal importance. I appreciate all of the support from this great community, and big shout out to u/docagnt for suggesting to highlight the great work NAMI is doing.
