Arguments for/against grading your PC

i’m very torn about grading my PC. i don’t just mean cards i find cool. i mean cards im probably never going to get rid of. they will be displayed in my man cave until i eventually pass them on to my son.

i can understand grading with the goal to sell those cards. but grading to keep, potentially forever, seems odd to me. other than aesthetics of a good looking slab, what are your reasons for grading cards you never plan on selling?
