Naples, Florida, Pride has officially banned drag performances this year due to state pressure, and honestly? This is an absolute outrage. Drag is an integral part of our community, our history, and our right to express ourselves. This isn’t just about drag—it’s about silencing queer joy and pushing us back into the shadows.

We can’t let this stand. Now, more than ever, we need to rally together in solidarity, especially for our drag artists and the most marginalized in our community. If they want to erase drag from Pride, then we need to make sure it’s more visible than ever.

I’m calling on everyone to show up in drag to Naples Pride. Whether you’re a seasoned queen, a king, or just an ally who wants to make a statement—throw on some glitter, a wig, heels, whatever makes you feel empowered. Let’s remind them that Pride is about defiance, resilience, and visibility.
