American Idol Season 1 Elimination Game (Day 7)
In perhaps the most divisive round we’ve had so far, we say goodbye to Christina Christian. Though a good amount of votes were also thrown at Justin and Nikki’s way, I think now it’s a battle for 3rd place between the two of them.
Christina is still a dearly underrated contestant in the show’s history to me. I loved her whole Sade-esque vibe to her and I like that she was able to take risks too. I enjoyed every single one of her performances, even if in retrospective upon conducting this game, I did notice a few flaws that people have pointed out on here. My absolute favourite from here is her Ain’t No Sunshine. I just thought it was so captivating and it’s definitely in my Top 5 performances of the season, and my favourite non Kelly/Tamyra one too. That performance alone warrants her place in my personal Top 3.
I’ll try to do this for every season to spice things up in the off season. I feel like the winner for Season 1 will be quite obvious, but it will be interesting to see the elimination order!! Other seasons would be less predictable for sure.
