SDE Intern Return Offer

For this summer I received an SDE internship in Austin. I wanted to stay home in the Bay but I guess I couldn't. Is there a high chance that my return offer will be in Austin next year? How long do I have to wait before I can ask for relocation back to the Bay Area or somewhere else? I would prefer to stay close to my family as they are going through some health issues.
