Passing Through Town

Hello, I have a road trip planned with a 14 year old from New Orleans to Denver. He’s not excited about the long drive so I’m trying to find something that he’ll enjoy on the trip. We stop in Amarillo on 4th of July to spend the night. Barring any unforeseen circumstances, we should get there in the mid afternoon. I found a place called Arnold’s that has a giant hamburger, which seemed to interest him. How’s Arnold’s? It looks like the fireworks are scheduled for the 5th, which we’ll miss. Anything else happening on the 4th? Thanks.
