Sponsee not showing the willingness or effort.

I want to try to keep this short. First time I’ve had a sponsee who always backs out of me picking him up for meetings or meeting to do step work. For context I told him 2 Fridays ago that I wanted him to show me he was willing to meet with me to read and to do step work. Last weekend didn’t hear from him. Then on Friday of last week he was all eager to read Monday ( today). So I rescheduled my therapy appointment for later in the day to open up a space to do step work with him. I woke up this morning and he texted me at 10:50 last night to say that he got asked to work this morning and could we read Tuesday ? Now he knows very well my availability for my sponsees is Sat/Sun/monday. I feel like he’s bullshitting and not wanting to do the work. Which is fine, I get it. However I have 2 other sponsees who are super eager and willing. I have a potentially another one who wants to start doing the work. I just want to make sure it’s not my ego telling me to let this guy “go”. Also I’m heading to a meeting now and going to talk with my sponser. Just wanted to say what yall had to say.
