TIL It's all about eliminating barriers
My biggest fight with ADHD is that I feel ridiculous. It feels ridiculous that something so small could keep me from doing a task and ends up wasting my time, money, etc. Over time I've realized that so many of my struggles are because of barriers to the task.
Today I realized this also involves physical barriers. No matter how small. This is a big one when it comes to trying to get myself to eat fruit and veggies. I've been letting these go to waste for so long. This time I decided to try taking them out of whatever packaging they come in and I ate significantly more of them! For example, taking the mandarins out of the little net bag they come in or the apples out of the bag.
I felt ridiculous because it's really not that hard to reach into the bag to get the fruit out. It's a very minute barrier. But removing that barrier completely has made the task even more mindless!
Sorry for jumbled mess of this post. I'm so sick and my brain is even more fogged lol
