225 custom catchphrases for reference (x-post from r/AnimalCrossing)
I am sure everyone who is playing ACNH had their villager asking for suggestions to change their catchphrase sooner or later. Sometimes I found myself just sitting there for longer than I care to admit, sending my switch to sleep until I have a good idea.
When choosing a catchphrase you can use up to 10 letters. As far as my testing goes, spaces do not count towards that limit. With this knowledge I started brainstorming and researching exclamations, idioms and other fun stuff.
Since my list became quite long rather quickly I decided to sort these ideas by the 8 personality types. I hope this structure helps to create a better overview and direction. You can still look at the smug category when trying to find something for a snooty or peppy villager, keep in mind there is no rules!
