They should lower tacet field waveplate cost from 60->40
Exactly what it says on the tin. The cost for forgery challenges, which are permanent upgrades to characters but has to be done multiple times to level both traces and weapons, is 40 waveplates, which I agree with. I also agree with bosses being 60 waveplates, because while they are also permanent upgrades, they are only done a few times per character and gives additional resources, thus justifying the higher cost. Weekly bosses are also up to debate, but it being only 3 times per week can either be an argument for or against it being higher or lower in waveplate cost.
However, it is a bit absurd that echoes, an upgrade that is highly up to rng, and will have to be done repeatedly ad infinitum if you want, or rng fucks you over, has a cost equivalent in waveplates to permanent upgrades like bosses. Sure, it might 'save you time' by giving you both the echoes, level up up mats for said echoes and the tuning materials, but I would rather take a hit by making a tacet field that only gives echo mats and no echo themselves, forcing us to farm them manually (Plus they wouldn't need to update said tacet field each region/set, since its only level up mats and not sets themselves), than have a higher cost tacet field. Double drop events might alleviate the issue, but it doesn't fix the issue that the entry cost is in itself too high.
