How much nicotine is considered safe longterm for a 180Ibs Adult?

Been vaping since High school (17yo) and I'm now 23 years old. Started using Juul, vaped at 50mg and 60mg at some point. Went Freebase nicotine instead of salt nic using around 24mg, 16mg, then down to 12mg slowly through the years. 6mg is now what I vape at all the time (Unflavored) and I also make my own coils now. I dont care about flavors for ejuice at all just pure VG/PG. I usually do a 50/50 for PG and VG freebase for ejuice. My vape is a small box mod at a usual 15watts of power and I sometimes chain vape. My vaping pattern is usually every 10 minutes or 20-40 minutes depending on if I'm busy or not. The reason I have not quit is not because of nicotine in itself, but the throat hit it produces. My question is... how low can I go that would be considered safe while still keeping that thoat hit I really crave? Is it 3mg? 1.5mg? .5mg? I need to have at least a little nicotine to ween off enough to stop vaping completely hopefully. But in the meantime, I like to have a good consistent experience. I was thinking maybe 1mg of nicotine for the sake of it. DO NOT start recommending 0mg of nicotine as it's useless for me and trust me I've tried and relapsed. What do you guys think? Anyone else vape low doses in nicotine?

Edit: Looking at the comments on my post, I think the best nicotine amount will be around 3mg to vape relatively safely. My plan is to go from my current 6mg of nicotine to 3mg and stick to that until I get my body used to it for awhile. Then I'll continue my mission to go lower maybe down to .5mg which will be the goal.

Overall, in moderation seems to be the key. Thanks guys for your helpful feedback!
